Cyber Threats in 2021 – What We’re Seeing and How Your Organization Can Protect Itself
Malware, ransomware, and other types cyber threats targeting organizations who house sensitive information are on the rise, in part due to the COVID-19 pandemic forcing organizations to quickly adapt to a remote workforce. The bad actors behind these types of attacks are getting smarter and more determined, which means it is more important than ever for organizations to be vigilant about securing their systems, training their employees, and planning for the possibility of a cybersecurity incident.

In this program, Daniel P. Greene, Esq., CIPP/US, CIPP/E, Beckage Incident Response team leader, will discuss some of the most common types of threats cybersecurity experts are seeing in 2021– from malware and ransomware to phishing campaigns and spoofed websites. With a firm understanding of the way these campaigns infiltrate a company’s systems, we will discuss some practical steps and strategies your organization can implement to avoid being impacted by a hacking campaign, respond appropriately in the event of a cybersecurity incident, and stand back up after an incident with limited damage.
